WordPress - Phase II

March 30th, 2008

Well, I’ve spent most of the weekend setting up Consolation Prize to a point where I’m reasonably happy with the results. I’ve settled on (and tinkered) with a theme, installed some interesting plugins and set-up information pages (contact, archive, about).  Ironically enough after all that effort I’ve noticed that version 2.5 is now available. Doh! Oh-well, I’ll upgrade when I’ve checked compatibility.

Feel free to let me know what you think of the new layout, personally I think it’s a step in the right direction. There will be more site updates to come as I become more familiar with WordPress, but for now I can’t think of anything urgent which leaves me free to get on with some gaming at last!

It looks great, you’ve already installed most of the important plugins which is good. You need to give the site a name as it is not displayed in the website’s title.

I’ll see if I can throw together a list of good modifications and plugins for Wordpress and I’ll stick it up on the VG Media forum for you.

Grats on the move =) Things are looking good. Wordpress usually takes a little bit to get used to, but it’s definitely better in the long run.

Looks pretty good mate. Not read it for a while, looks like I have something to read in my dinner times. Keep up the good work. :)
